I have filed a claim as my GRE test scheduled for 10/21 was incorrectly cancelled without my consent or authorization by one of your operators. I highly encourage you to look through the phone dialogue(s) if possible. Since I did not ask for my test to be cancelled, I...

I am looking for a way to file a lawsuit against this test center. The administers who managed the test center put 24 seats / test takers in a small room, delayed my entrance to the test, and did not accommodate my needs when I said it was too noisy. They sad "you...

Scores are not scored fairly. How can you get a stagnant score of 20 in Listening while 25, 26 and 28 on all other three sections. Four times in a row. Sounds fishy. They just want you to retake for money.

I believe the toefl is a scam that leaves you with no chance to pass. Ive taken the toefl 16 times always missing by 1 point.

I think ill write to the Senator about the problem with the ETS scoring system.

Its unfair to retake sections you've passed. And im suspioucs about the 1 point i keep missing...no freaking way!!!!

ETS should be a for profit corporation.

It seems rather unfair that a corporation that clearly enjoys monopoly power, that seems to be strongly interested in maximizing their profits by exploiting test takers through their high fees and misleading policies, that sells study material above market price, that advertises their products with consumers to increase demand and that continuously cuts costs can be called a non-profit organization, ETS should be subject to federal income taxes like any other for-profit organization and be subject to antitrust laws and regulations to spur competition and provide better value for consumers. Other Interesting open questions: Where do we have scientific studies that explore the actual value to the student and the institution of each of the tests provided by ETS. Does solid evidence for the efficacy of the exams exists, otherwise why do institutions require ETS administered exams, do ETS provide any monetary incentives to these institutions (e.g. research grants and funding ...etc.) Here is some outdated financial information from the IRS records. http://www.faqs.org/tax-exempt/NJ/Educational-Testing-Service.html

ETS - Review from Poway, California

I have appeared for test on 1st October 2014. I reported my score there and I have received an email on 10 October that my account is updated with new marks. But my scores are not reflecting. Please help me with this. I have mailed gre-info, but there is no reply from there side. I called localized gre, and they says they don't have any idea. If your organisation don't have any idea and no replies from your side then whom should I ask.

ETS in Torrance, California - Tested on wrong standard

I took the Educational Leadership test in 2012. I was tested on the incorrect standards. I was made to take the test over because an administrator said that the assessment would not get regraded. I retook the test and made a lower score. I am wondering if the test would have been regraded without calculating the standard that was incorrect would I have received a passing score. I have been stressed since the assessment and afraid to take it again. I want to send a copy to Louisiana Department of Education and few entities to show that ETS Praxis have errors on their assessments.

Ets - Tests Review from Walnut Creek, California

These tests are a load of ***. Though the test is U.S. wide in some other states students may not be being taught the same curriculum. Also it was a waste of my money to buy a practice book for music content and instruction test. There is also a music content and knowledge test. So guess what they do?? Combine both test in one study guide and don't make the material proportional. So when I go to take my test I only know 20% of the questions because that's how much of the study guide was on the test. Also there was content on the test I had never heard of! This test is bull and I think it's crazy for someone to have to prove themselves after 4 years of education and paying more money for these required tests.

Cheated by ETS

My sister is the one giving GRE. She had scheduled a date and wanted another date as that date was not feasible any more. We kept checking site for suitable date to be available. I am in US. I checked as per the US time and there was a seat available in my day time. I used her login credentials and logged in. I was taken to the home page where I clicked on register for test. I followed all the steps and booked the date. A few minutes of booking I realized that I had booked a altogether new appointment. How is a person who is new to site supposed to know if by clicking register for test he/she is rescheduling an old appointment or creating a new one. No history of appointments is mentioned on the home page. I called ETS few minutes later and they refuse to nullify the new appointment even though the bank transaction has not yet gone through. They have asked me to cancel the old appointment as they cant do anything and say that I will loose half the amount. Instead of being charged $50 for rescheduling I am charged $185 for new appointment and loose $92 of the old appointment. They apologize saying they understand its a mistake but they have no policies in place to rectify it !!!

"They have no policies in place to rectify it." How convenient and profitable for them to be able to retain fees under false pretenses. It is really wrong that a company be allowed to operate as a monopoly and to avoid responsibility for their wrong actions.
